I have loved drawing since childhood.

At an early age the drawings by Michelangelo and Andrew Wyeth inspired me. Portrait drawings by these masters were done as studies in preparation for their paintings. Their subjects most often had an indirect gaze and subtle expressions with relaxed poses. I always preferred the natural simplicity of the drawings over the formal, painted portraits.

TESTIMONIALS

I love the portrait of my daughter! I think it captures some of her soulfulness mixed with her youthfulness. Very well done.

It’s really fantastic. There is something so loving about this portrait. The use of color (using gray, which I’m a strong believer of) sets up everything so well. Emily has a great touch. When I first saw her work it was the first thing that jumped out to me. A very unique quality. Beautiful!

I am enjoying your portrait of my Mom and Dad each day. It makes me smile. Thank you for the memory.
